Act of Caring visits Svante Öquist
Svante has inspired the Swedish people in interior design and interior design for almost 30 years. As the former editor-in-chief of Elle Decoration and now a frequent blogger at Sköna Hem, he has become an icon in the Swedish design world.
Camilla, one of the founders of Act of Caring, visited Svante in his beautiful home in Sköndal to talk about his favorite furniture.
One of Svante's favorite pieces of furniture is a teak dining table, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Søn in the 50s – a true design icon.
The table was bought at auction over 10 years ago and has since been an integral part of the house.
The dining table also has a clever solution with extension leaves stored under the table that can be easily lifted into place to accommodate many guests.

A table needs love!
Svante and Camilla started by cleaning the table with a Reviving Wood Cleanser, a natural wood cleaner. Then, they oiled the table with a Nourishing Wood Oil, a plant-based oil that works on all untreated or previously oiled wood materials. The result was fantastic and the table looked like new again.
