A LIFESTYLE CONCEPT ABOUT HOW TO MAKE THINGS LAST

Act of Caring started with an idea and project trying to solve the dilemma of over-consumption and “lack of joy” caring for what we already have. We decided to create a lifestyle concept for how to make things last. Embedded in the core of our organization is consciousness of scarce resources and a sustainability strive to make Act of Caring’s products circular and caring.ecided to create a lifestyle concept around care and cleaning that makes it easy to take care of our beloved things at home. Similar to how we take care of our skin, we have created simple routines to extend the life of different types of materials such as marble, wood, leather and metal.

BOTTLES & PACKAGING

Our bottles are made from 100% recycled PET bottles and are recyclable. The color may vary slightly from bottle to bottle. We think it is beautiful and gives a peculiarity to the product. The material used for the bottles is collected plastic from beaches around the world that is ground down and turned into new plastic.

SKINCARE FOR OBJECT

All our products are based on natural ingredients, vegan and biodegradable – kind to nature.

We have walked an extra mile to find the kindest non-toxic preservatives, which often is the biggest challenge when producing sustainable and commercial natural products.

We are using our background and know – how in organic skin care, bringing the same high standard used in skin care when producing our Act of Caring material care products.

Our ingredients are sourced locally whenever possible to limit the CO2 impact due to long distance transport.

Act of Caring’s products are manufactured in a small workshop on the west coast of Sweden.

SCENTS

Act of Caring’s  formulas are only scented with the highest quality of pure essential oils.

The reason is twofold; Each essential oil has an added function to the products effectiveness and the lovely scents will inspire to care and make an act of caring.

OUR SCENTS

LEMON
Lemon is a natural disinfectant. repels insect larvae and mosquitoes. The fruit peel provides energy and sharpens concentration, lemon oil in the kitchen stimulates the appetite.

YLANG YLANG
The Ylang-Ylang flower, has a calming and relaxing effect, very common and appreciated in floral perfumes.

EUCALYPTUS
Only the leaves of the eucalyptus bush are used for its refreshing and relaxing properties. It cleans the airways, stimulates the action, can be used in scented bags in the same way as lavender, effective against insects.

SANDAL TREE
The woody scent of sandalwood provides a warm and stable fragrance, relaxing when under stress and anxiety and repels insects.

PINE
The scent of the pine tree gives the whole room a warm and fresh scent of forest, stimulating action, cleaning and antiseptic.

PATCHOULI
The leaves of the patchouli bush provide an earthy warming and strengthening scent, good to use on the work surface, effective against ground beech and silverfish.

TEA TREE
We use the tea tree bush, for the fresh, sweet and medicinal scent but also gives a warm and spicy element, clears the mind and increases concentration Effective against bacteria and fungicides and insects.

NATURAL SCENT
Some products remain unscented when it does not add anything to the functionality of the product.
